Every year parents and players ask about all-stars, how the players are
picked and when are the tryouts?
The Managers who want to coach the all-star teams must apply in writing to
the Board before June 1. Once they have applied the decision is made by the
Board at a specially called meeting usually on or around June 2.
Once the Managers are chosen they appoint their coaches and set up tryouts
as soon as possible. Players who the coaching staff recommend should be at
the tryouts are invited from each team but, the tryouts are not limited to
those players only. Any player who would like to tryout may attend the
sessions.

T-Ball
The T-Ball division all-stars are chosen by the co-ordinator and the
all-star coaches without tryouts being conducted. Each tournament team will consist of twelve players
of league age five (5) and six (6) and who must have been on a Blastball/T-Ball
roster during the regular season.
Rookie
The Rookie, 9 & 10 year old and Major divisions will conduct tryouts after
June 1 each year. The final cuts can only be made on or after June 15,
primary cuts may be made before June 15th.
For
the Rookie division each player must be of league ages 6-8 and who must have
been on a Pitching Machine or Minor roster during the regular season. Note:
Players who turn 9 on or before April 30th are NOT eligible.
With the Rookie Division players who are 6 years of age are not permitted to
go down to the T-Ball all-stars.
This also means those players who are 6, 7 or 8 years old who played up in
the Minors (9 & 10 year olds) during the regular season ARE eligible to try
out for the Rookie 6, 7 & 8 year old all-star team.
Minors & Majors
All players aged 9 & 10 are eligible for the 9 & 10 all-stars and all
players aged 11 & 12 are eligible for the Major all-stars.
Those players who are 9 or 10 year olds who played up in the Majors (11 & 12
year olds) during the regular season are eligible to try out for the 9 & 10
year old all-stars.
Only those players who are 11 & 12 years old are eligible to try out for the
11 & 12 year old (Major) all-stars.
PLEASE NOTE:
All players who are chosen for any All-Star team or post season Tournament
team will be assessed additional fees. This assessment will go towards
reimbursing the league for the additional hats, uniforms and entry fees into
the Tournaments.
