Welcome to the start of the 2019 baseball season at Hastings Community Little League! We hope your player is getting excited about playing soon. Stay tuned for more updates in the lead-up to Opening Day!

Time to Get Ready!

Evaluations start this weekend. If you have a Rookie, Minor or Major player, you should have received an email with a day and time for your evaluation session.

If you haven't received an evaluation time - contact Ryan Crago, Coach and Player Development Co-ordinator at development@hcll.ca as soon as possible.

THINGS TO REMEMBER FOR EVALUATIONS
EQUIPMENT: Glove, protective cup or jill for girls, batting helmet, runners - NO CLEATS. Bring a bat if you have one (please ensure it is USA Baseball approved).
CLOTHING: hat, shirt, shorts or pants.
PARENTS: you are welcome to watch but please refrain from coaching or commenting on your child or others. These are not try-outs, all kids will play this season. This is only an evaluation of their skills for team placement. Encourage your child to do their best and have fun.
LOCATION: February 23 and March 2 evaluations take place at The Ball Yard at Sports Central 2611 Viscount Way in Richmond. March 3 make-up evaluations will be held at Hastings Community Park.

VOLUNTEERS & DONORS NEEDED

Hastings Community Little League is entirely run by volunteers. We always welcome contributions by our members and friends. If you have a way to help the league - please get in touch! Currently we're looking for a coffee sponsor for our concession stand (2lbs of ground beans per week, 12 weeks), a cotton candy machine for opening day and printing services for signs around the park.

If you're interested in helping out with league events such as Opening Day, Team and Individual Photos and other events like tournaments and work parties, please let us know by emailing
info@hcll.ca. Stay tuned to these bulletins for more information on volunteer opportunities.

PARENT DUTIES
All parents are asked to contribute to covering game duties such as field prep and cleanup, announcing, pitch count, scorekeeping, concession and 50/50 ticket sales. Duties vary by division. Visit the HCLL website for more information on volunteer duties.
