The election of the HCLL Board takes place each year at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the Fall. The time commitment required for each position varies. An overview of each position is provided on this page, and full position descriptions and responsibilities, and can be found by clicking the button below.

PRESIDENT
The President leads HCLL, chairs the Board, represents the League and connects with Little League, District 6 and community partners. They set the League’s vision, align its leadership and ensure HCLL operates safely, sustainably and in accordance with all rules, policies and values.
SECRETARY
The Secretary manages HCLL’s official records and information, ensuring key documents, decisions, filings, policies and historical materials are organized, accurate and preserved. The role maintains the League’s Google Drive as its central institutional record.
DIRECTOR OF PLAYER DEVELOPMENT
The Director of Player Development leads HCLL’s pathway from Junior T-Ball through Major and Intermediate. The role promotes age-appropriate development, competitive balance and growth opportunities, helping Hastings develop skilled players, great young people and competitive programs.
COACH DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
The Coach Development Coordinator strengthens coaching across all HCLL divisions and programs. The role provides coaches with clear expectations, practical resources, training and mentorship to ensure safe, positive and age-appropriate instruction, while creating development pathways for those pursuing higher-performance baseball.
GROUNDSKEEPING COORDINATOR
The Groundskeeping Coordinator keeps HCLL’s fields and facilities safe, playable and ready for baseball. The role coordinates maintenance, seasonal projects, City relationships, supplies, storage, security and volunteer field preparation across all League fields.
COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR
The Communications Coordinator manages HCLL’s public voice, digital channels and visual brand. The role keeps families informed, maintains current website information, shares the Hastings story through social media and supports registration, programs, events, sponsors and the League’s community reputation.
EVENTS COORDINATOR
The Events Coordinator plans and delivers HCLL’s major community and League events, creating organized experiences that build pride, tradition and connection. The role oversees Opening Ceremonies, Photo Day, graduation and end-of-season celebrations, plus other Board-approved fundraisers and community events.
DIVISION COORDINATORS
The Division Coordinator leads the effective day-to-day operation of their assigned HCLL division—Major, Minor, Rookie, T-Ball or Junior T-Ball—and serves as the primary link between the Board, team Managers, coaches and families. The role helps ensure the division is organized, safe, fair, well communicated and consistent with HCLL policies, Little League rules and League values.
VICE PRESIDENT- ADMIN
The Vice President – Administration supports the President and oversees HCLL’s governance, compliance and administration. The role ensures policies, records, safety requirements, screening, discipline processes, permits, grants and annual governance responsibilities are organized, current and completed on time.
TREASURER
The Treasurer oversees HCLL’s finances, maintaining accurate records and controls, preparing budgets and reports, and managing receipts and approved payments. The role supports pricing and funding decisions while ensuring the Board and membership clearly understand the League’s financial position.
SAFETY DIRECTOR
The Safety Director leads HCLL’s safety, child-protection and risk-prevention programs. The role develops safety systems, educates volunteers, coordinates incident reporting and screening, and ensures fields, equipment and League activities meet HCLL and Little League safety requirements throughout the season.
SCHEDULING COORDINATOR
The Scheduling Coordinator creates and maintains HCLL’s master schedule for games, practices, fields and major activities across all seasons. The role turns permits, team counts, division formats and event needs into fair, efficient field allocations, providing teams with a reliable schedule for when and where they play and practise.
CONSESSION COORDINATOR
The Concession Coordinator manages HCLL’s concession program as a service to families and a source of League revenue. The role oversees food, inventory, safety, volunteers, sales, purchasing and concession coverage for busy weekends, tournaments and major events.
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
The Volunteer Coordinator manages HCLL’s volunteer program by creating opportunities, recruiting and scheduling volunteers, and tracking service and opt-outs. The role ensures League portfolios have the people needed to support concessions, tournaments, events, facilities and other activities.
TOURNAMENT & POST-SEASON COORDINATOR
The Tournament & Post-Season Coordinator organizes HCLL’s hosted tournaments and postseason activities. The role leads the Fred Ritchie Invitational and major District events, supports teams attending external tournaments, and maintains the relationships, checklists and coordination needed to manage a busy house and summer tournament schedule.
VICE PRESIDENT- OPERATIONS
The Vice President – Operations oversees the coordinated delivery of HCLL’s baseball and League operations. The role turns Board plans into a successful season by aligning divisions, scheduling, facilities, equipment, umpiring, volunteers, events, tournaments, communications and other operational areas.
PLAYER AGENT
The Player Agent oversees player registration, eligibility, records, roster integrity and compliant selection processes. The role ensures evaluations, drafts and player movements follow Little League and HCLL requirements across all programs, while also coordinating uniforms, merchandise and the League’s online store.
UMPIRE-IN-CHIEF
The Umpire-in-Chief leads the quality, development and integrity of HCLL’s umpire program. The role develops youth and adult umpires, interprets rules, evaluates performance and represents umpiring interests within HCLL and with District and higher-level programs. It is an appointed, non-elected and non-tenure-constrained Board position.
EQUIPMENT COORDINATOR
The Equipment Coordinator ensures HCLL teams, umpires and programs have safe, appropriate equipment when needed. The role manages purchasing, inventory, distribution, replacement and returns, protecting League assets, keeping teams properly equipped and supporting future budgets with accurate stock information.
MARKETING COORDINATOR
The Marketing Coordinator grows HCLL’s financial and community support through sponsorship, fundraising and promotion. The role builds relationships with local partners, manages the annual sponsorship campaign, develops approved fundraising opportunities and ensures sponsors receive promised recognition and benefits.
UMPIRE COORDINATOR
The Umpire Coordinator manages the day-to-day operation of HCLL’s umpire program. Working with the Umpire-in-Chief, the role recruits and registers umpires, tracks availability and qualifications, and ensures games and tournaments receive appropriate coverage through proactive scheduling and follow-up.
GIRLS BASEBALL COORDINATOR
The Girls Baseball Coordinator leads the growth, quality and visibility of girls baseball at Hastings. The role supports girls within co-ed house teams while providing all-girls development, exhibition and tournament opportunities that attract and retain players and create strong competitive and community experiences.
