ABOUT THE T-BALL DIVISION
The T-Ball division is for 5 and 6-year-old players (age as of August 31 in the year of the current or upcoming season).

T-Ball builds on the introductory experience by teaching the basic structure of baseball in a supportive, non-competitive environment. Players begin to understand how the game flows while continuing to develop fundamental skills. The division closely follows Little League Canada T-Ball standards and provides a welcoming environment for players with varying levels of experience.

There are no standings or official scores in T-Ball, and equal playing time is emphasized. Players rotate through positions regularly to experience all aspects of the game. The overall focus remains on teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, and fun, while gradually preparing players for the transition to Rookie baseball.

The goal of T-Ball is to establish strong baseball fundamentals while fostering a love for the game. Players are encouraged to try all positions, support their teammates, and gain confidence through repetition and positive coaching. Success at this level is measured by engagement, improvement, and enjoyment rather than results.

What to Expect

T-Ball teams will practice once a week, generally on Wednesday evenings, but this may change to align with coach and player availability. Teams then also play a game once a week, generally on Saturday mornings. Players hit from a batting tee and are introduced to throwing, catching, fielding, and base running. Games are short and structured so that all players bat each inning and have frequent opportunities to be involved in play. Coaches remain on the field throughout games to provide instruction, encouragement, and guidance, and play may be paused to allow for teaching moments. At the end of each T-Ball game, the teams participate in a relay race.

Each player must provide their own glove, helmet, and a cup/jill is required for safety purposes. Team bats are provided if needed. Players are welcome to use their own bats, but these must be “USA Baseball” approved (not USSSA).

Each player will receive a team t-shirt, a league baseball hat, and individual and team photos. “Teammate” and “sibling” requests for team placement are accepted in Junior T-Ball and T-Ball.

During games, parents will be required to assist with field set-up, field clean up, managing kids in the dugout, and any other duties the coach needs help with.
