ABOUT THE MAJOR DIVISION
The Major division is for 11 and 12 year old's (age as of August 31 in the year of the current or upcoming season).

In the Major Division, there are usually 11 to 13 players per team and they are selected onto teams after an evaluation process before the start of the season. There are a maximum of nine players on the field defensively for each inning and all players bat through the order.
Players also receive a team jersey, league baseball cap, socks and individual / team photos. If you choose to purchase your own bat for the season, please make sure that they are USA baseball approved.

Practices are usually held twice or more per week and the game schedule includes regular season games and interlock games with other Little Leagues. Parent volunteer duties include field preparation, field cleanup, scorekeeping, scoreboard, announcing, 50/50 sales, concession and tracking pitch counts.

“Teammate” requests for team placement are NOT accepted in the Rookie, Minor and Major divisions. “Sibling” requests for team placement will be considered at all levels for players eligible to play within the same division.

INTERLOCK GAMES
In addition to league games, interlock games are played during the regular season within District 6 against teams from New Westminster Little League, South Vancouver Little League and Trout Lake Little League.
PLAYER EVALUATIONS
All Major division players must go through an evaluation process in order to balance teams and ensure that players are placed in the appropriate division based on age, ability, skill level and safety considerations.

Attendance at evaluation sessions is mandatory in order to be placed on a team.

The Major division player evaluation sessions will be posted on Featured News once finalized.

NOTES
Some 11 year old players could be assigned to the Minor division based on their skill/ability level and evaluation results. An 11 year old determined to be skilled enough to play in the Major division cannot choose to play in the Minor division. This applies even if the player has a sibling in the lower division.
