GIRLS SQUAD
Open to all girls in our District ages 7 to 12
Get ready for another fun and exciting season with the Hastings Little League Girls Squad!

We are keeping a similar format to last year, with a few updates designed to create more opportunities for the girls to play—especially through increased all-girls exhibition games.

WEEKLY DEVELOPMENT PRACTICES
As in previous seasons, we will hold weekly development practices, likely split into two age groupings: Rookie and Minors/Majors. These practices will focus on skill development, confidence, and game play in a supportive all-girls environment. These sessions will be run on Monday evenings and will not conflict with regular co-ed league schedules.

ALL-GIRLS TOURNAMENT
We will once again be participating in the Amanda Asay Jamboree in May. This all-girls tournament, hosted by Baseball BC, brings teams together from across the region to celebrate and play girls baseball with and against other girls.

EXHIBITION GAMES
We are planning to schedule a minimum of two exhibition games for each age group against other girls teams in our region. These games will be played both at our home fields and at opponent home fields, giving the girls valuable game experience. All exhibition games will occur on Sunday afternoons and will be scheduled so as not to conflict with regular co-ed league schedules.
ELIGIBILITY
This year, Girls Squad registration is open to all girls in our District ages 7 to 12 years old, regardless of whether they are registered in our Spring League co-ed programs. We recognize the importance of all-girls baseball programming and are committed to providing these opportunities through our Girls Squad Clinics, with the goal of encouraging more girls to play and stay in the game.
