Player Evaluations - Feb 21st, 22nd and 25th

Hello Hastings Families,


Welcome to another season of Hastings Baseball!


All Rookie, Minor and Major division players must go through an evaluation process in order to ensure that players are placed in the appropriate division based on age, ability, skill level and safety considerations.  Attendance at evaluation sessions is mandatory in order for a player to be placed on a team. 





PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW TO ENSURE YOU ARE PREPARED FOR EVALUATIONS


Please find a time to book based on the division you are registered in.  Evaluations are for Rookie, Minor and Major divisions ONLY.


There will be no parent viewing of evaluations.  Unfortunately, the facilities inside are very small and are unable accommodate the parents alongside the kids, coaches, and evaluators. We ask that you wait outside or in your vehicle until your child's time slot is complete.


Players are to be dressed in appropriate baseball gear. Baseball hat, glove, groin protection, running shoes (no cleats) and helmet.   Bats will be available for players that may not have their own.


Coaches are encouraged to sign up to help with running stations. 


Player evaluations are scheduled to take place on Feb 21st, 22nd and 25th.  Please see breakdown of times and locations based on division.

 

ROOKIE -will be held at two locations on Saturday, please see details below.


Travail Development - 2696 Nootka Street, Vancouver


  • Saturday, February 21st, 2025 -  Time slots between 9:00am to 10:30am


The Cage on Boundary – 1050 Boundary Road, Burnaby - Ring doorbell (side door facing Parker Street) and go up the stairs to the cage


  • Saturday, February 21st, 2026 - Time slots between 5:00pm to 8:00pm


Travail Development - 2696 Nootka Street, Vancouver


  • Sunday, Feb 22nd, 2026 - 12:30 to 2:00

  • Wednesday, February 25th, 2026 - Time slots between 5 and 6pm

PLEASE ARRIVE 10 MINUTES EARLY TO WARM UP YOUR PLAYERS ARM OUTSIDE OF THE FACILITY.


MINOR - Will be held at one location

  • Saturday, February 21st, 2025 -  Time slots between 10:30am to 12:30pm

  • Sunday, Feb 22nd, 2026 -  Time slots between 10am to 12:30pm

  • Wednesday, February 25th, 2026 - Time slots between 6pm and 8pm

MAJOR DIVISION -Will be held at one location

  • Sunday, Feb 22nd, 2026 -  Time slots between 9am and 10am

  • Wednesday, February 25th, 2026 - Time slots between 8pm and 9pm

 

Evaluation Sign-Up

3) Sign up! It's Easy - you will NOT need to register an account or keep a password on SignUp.

 

Evaluation Session Information:

· All players must sign in at the Hastings desk 

·At sign-in, each player will be given an identification number tag.


A reminder that parents may not watch evaluations and must wait outside the facility until evaluations are complete.


Players must be registered for the Spring 2026 season to be evaluated.

 

Post Evaluations:

 

You will be contacted directly by your child(ren)'s head coach once teams are formed.  Practices are scheduled at the coach's discretion. League schedules will be loaded onto TeamSnap when they are ready.
